THE CHANGE

Helloooo!
It’s been a long time since I last wrote here. Today I woke up with a newsletter from Mariana Matija and I read it while I was drinking my coffee… so I felt like writing and sharing…
Let's talk about CHANGES!
If you have been here since the beginning of Margo, you may have noticed the changes she has had, how she has evolved and in that evolution she has transformed in some way.
When I started the brand, I loved exercise and I still do, I wanted to share that personal love for activewear that at the time was a big part of my daily life.
I have changed and Margo has changed with me, not because Margo is me, but because in the end it is an extension of me, of my days and of what I love, so yes, it also evolved into other things, other clothes, other fabrics, but with the same essence as when it began.
Today I love activewear for pilates and yoga, I love swimsuits like any good Acapulco native, but I also love everyday clothes, I love long, feminine dresses since I remember thinking I was Tatiana hahahahaha… And I have started to materialize all that love in other garments than what it was in the beginning.
Margo and I, as designers, are in times of change, from understanding what else I want to do here at the brand, to possible changes of city again... and it's not a complaint, even though there is fear of the unknown, there is also a lot of excitement and curiosity to see where life will take us.
I know that many of you may have followed the brand because we made sportswear, or maybe because of our swimwear, or maybe you came along when we started creating clothes like what we have now…
In this process, people have left, many others have arrived and I have learned to be calm with that, thinking that this is also what having a brand looks like, coming and going, letting go and letting things come, trying, making mistakes and trying again.
This September we started an incubator full of colleagues who are on the same path, with the goal of growing the brand and laying strong foundations that will help us get to where we want and aspire as a brand.
Growing a fashion brand is a complex task, with so much fast fashion and Chinese products being sold only at the price of using raw materials. You are an entrepreneur!
You don't know how many times I've wanted to throw in the towel this year! But here we are, giving it one last, best effort with the help of women who know and are experts at this.
In these 6 months of incubation you will be seeing changes in Margo, more structure, other materials, designs, etc… how scary and exciting the changes, right?
EVERYTHING changes and all change is good, it is always for the better.
I hope that if you are in the process of change, you feel supported and continue in this space where many beautiful things will come to you.
Thank you for reading me and supporting what is done in Mexico.
With love.
Viridiana Beltran.
